From Ice Cream To Fleet Repair
In 1967 Charles Marks bought his first ice cream truck and started an ice cream business.
It was not long before his Mister Softee enterprise had grown to a fleet of 16 trucks. He soon
realized that to keep his business thriving he would need to hire a cracker jack mechanic.
When others heard of his new venture the work started pouring in from other companies
with fleet vehicles needing service and repair. Finding his niché, Charles sold his flourishing
ice cream business and put all his efforts into Truck Fleet Repair. That same mechanic
he hired over 37 years ago is now a World-Class ASE Master Technician and TFR’s
coveted Service Manager.
Over the years TFR has been proud to provide superior fleet maintenance and repair
service for Greater Hampton Roads. Boasting ten master ASE mechanics and a staff
of 21 employees TFR currently keeps over 200 fleets running with a high volume through
out Tidewater repairing 25 vehicles a day.
Yet that is not the end of the story. TFR continues to stay in the fast lane keeping technicians
current with certifications and providing them with the latest state-of-the-art technology and
equipment, all designed to get your vehicles in and out as fast as possible.
